Help United Airlines Workers Win First Contract

October 7, 2005

The following is a letter from IFPTE Local 194 President Franceline Ehret requesting assistance from all local unions to help workers at United Airlines win their first contract.

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

IFPTE represents engineers, technologists, and specialists employed by United Airlines since October 2002. Shortly thereafter United Airlines filed for bankruptcy, which they are still under. Our United Airlines brothers and sisters still don't have a first contract. We're requesting on their behalf that all our Central Labor Council affiliates let their area locals know what is going on and encourage the members of the local unions to help in their campaign for fairness by participating in website activities at www.ualwatch.org. We appreciate any and all efforts on the behalf of our United Airlines brothers and sisters.

In Solidarity,

Franceline Ehret
President
